It’s All About Animal Prints

Animal prints are one of the hottest trends this season, along with colour blocking and vintage inspired silhouettes. And this is even more evident when you shop through the latest collections in stores everywhere, animal prints are predominant. Now if you think you cannot wear animal prints because you are plus size, think again! Prints in general can help camouflage any areas of your figure you prefer to tone down – if the animal print is worn well of course.

Yours Clothing this season has a wide range of styles in animal prints, which I wanted to point out to you today to give you an idea of what item are available of course, and how you can wear these pieces to create lovely outfits.

1. Black & Cream Leopard Print 2in1 Dress

This is definitely one of my favourites this season! It makes a perfect party dress and let you add in a touch of animal print to your outfit without being over the top. The plain black pencil skirt bottom balanced out the chiffon and ruffled animal print top. Wear with black tights and your favorite pair of black heels. If you have a matching animal print clutch bag, that would top off your outfit for sure.

 

2. Black & White Giraffe Print 2in1 Dress

Another one of my favorites, this dress is in style similar to the first dress I featured, though the animal print is different, and it is actually very unique – we don’t usually see giraffe animal prints – so if you want to be different, this one is for you! The detachable belt helps cinch in your waist, defining your silhouette further, though you can choose not to wear it if you aren’t the belt type of person. Again wear with tights, and black heels.

 

3. Stone Animal Chiffon Longline Shirt

This shirt is very versatile and can be worn both during the day, and during the evening. You can choose to wear this over your favourite pair of jeans, or also over black leggings – since this is a longline shirt it is safe to wear with leggings. Pair up with black or brown boots for a casual look, or black/brown high heels for an evening and party look. You can also accessories this with a wide black/brown belt. Add on earrings and a necklace to top off your look.

 

4. Black & Tan Frill Chiffon Dress/Tunic

Gorgeous dress, featuring ruffles around the neckline and bust, making this style a very feminine choice. This make an ideal party outfits – wear this with either black leggings or opaque black tights. Put on a pair of black or brown high heels, simply earrings and you’re good to go! Since this dress has a lot going on around the neckline, I would recommend not wearing any necklace.

 

5. Stone & Black Jersey Animal Print Blouse

Another twist to animal prints styles available from Yours Clothing, this blouse is ideal to be worn during a casual day out with friends, or a casual night out. I recommend pairing this up with black leggings, or dark jeggings, and knee-high boots.

 

6. Stone Smudge Animal Tunic

A cute option for a party dress, ideal for those bold enough to wear an all over animal print dress. This faux wrap flatters the figure, and the deep V-neckline make this style a sexy choice! I would wear this dress either with black leggings, or dark (not necessarily too dark) tights. Heels are a must for a part look, though it can also be worn down with a pair of knee-high boots for a daytime – or less party – look. This dress can definitely take a heavy necklace!
